West Ham are interested in signing Valencia centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby according to a report from 90 Min.
Hammers boss David Moyes really needs to bolster his centre-back department at the London Stadium.
Fabian Balbuena has left whilst Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson are ageing and the former is currently out with a minor knock.
Meanwhile, the jury is still very much out on Issa Diop.
There have been at least 10 centre-backs heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium so far this summer.
And now there is a new one to add to the list.
West Ham chasing Mouctar Diakhaby
90 Min claims that the 24-year-old Valencia ace is one of many options for the Hammers this summer.
The 6ft 4in giant is an absolute monster in the air. He possesses blistering pace as well and would be a really good option for West Ham.
In 33 La Liga appearances for Valencia last season, Diakhaby averaged 0.6 tackles, one interception and 3.8 clearances per game. He also won 1.8 aerial duels per match on average (Who Scored).
The Frenchman is very good with the ball at his feet. He made 38 passes on average per game last season and record a completion rate of 85% (Who Scored).
Superdeporte recently claimed that Valencia want around £18 million for the centre-back.

That is very good value indeed, and West Ham really shouldn’t hesitate to sign him if we’re struggling to get deals for Nikola Milenkovic and/or Kurt Zouma over the line.
