West Ham hold an interest in Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, according to reports.

The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea could cut Batshuayi’s loan spell at Valencia short, with West Ham and Crystal Palace hoping to take him for the second half of the season.

West Ham seem to be perpetually linked with Batshuayi but are hoping to finally land him this January.

Chelsea signed Batshuayi back in 2016 but he has failed to establish himself in the side.

Even with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud struggling at Stamford Bridge, Maurizio Sarri has not been tempted to use the 25-year-old.

The ex-Marseille striker has scored 19 goals in 53 games for Chelsea during his three seasons in London.

Last season, Batshuayi headed out on loan to Borussia Dortmund, where he impressed.

In 10 Bundesliga games, Batshuayi netted seven goals, with a total tally of nine goals in 14 games.

But even this did not manage to convince Chelsea that he was ready for first-team action and he was sent out on loan again.

Last summer, the Belgium international headed out on loan to La Liga side Valencia.

But Batshuayi has only scored twice in 20 games in the La Liga and the Europa League.

With just eight starts this season, the Belgian forward is likely to be recalled by Chelsea and sent out on loan elsewhere.

West Ham are set to do battle with London rivals Crystal Palace in their bid to land Batshuayi.
