ExWHUemployee has poured cold water on talk of Real Madrid hitman Luka Jovic linking up with West Ham on loan in January.
Spanish publication Fichajes claimed earlier this week that the Hammers were weighing up a loan swoop for the Serbia international.
The 21-year-old left Eintracht Frankfurt for Madrid in the summer for around €60 million (£51.1 million), according to Sky Sports.
Jovic forged a potent partnership with current West Ham striker Sebastien Haller in Germany last year.
And some Hammers fans are dreaming of the duo rekindling that partnership at the London Stadium.
That appears to be nothing more than a pipe-dream, however.
ExWHUemployee has suggested that he cannot see the Madrid hitman joining West Ham on loan in January:
Jovic has really struggled since moving to the La Liga giants. And perhaps a loan move away from the Bernabeu is exactly what he needs to help reinvigorate his career.
He is a top player and will undoubtedly go on to become world-class.
Unfortunately for West Ham, however, it seems as though they have no chance of signing the Serb, even on a temporary basis.
