The 23-year-old centre-back signed for the Hammers from Toulouse in the summer of 2018 for around £25 million (The Express).
Issa Diop really impressed initially but he has really struggled over the past 12 months.
And The Sun on Sunday (December 20th, page 65) suggested that West Ham want to loan him out or even sell him in January.
West Brom boss Sam Allardyce allegedly wants to bring the defender to the Hawthorns.
It appears that that is not the case, however.
Hammers insiders Claret and Hugh say that Diop will be going nowhere next month because David Moyes is a fan of the Frenchman and the Scot thinks competition with Angelo Ogbonna, Fabian Balbuena and Craig Dawson is healthy.
The former Toulouse ace clearly has huge talent and he is very highly thought of at the London Stadium.
It was only last year when Issa Diop was valued at £65 million by West Ham (Daily Mail).
Hopefully the 23-year-old goes on to fulfil his potential with the Hammers. He does need to be playing regular football in order for that to happen, however.
So perhaps a loan move away from east London wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world. That won’t be happening, however, according to C&H.
