Reliable West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee has denied a claim made by an Italian journalist over former coach Enzo Maresca.
It has been an eventful week at West Ham.
Manuel Pellegrini was sacked on Saturday night following West Ham’s 2-1 home defeat to Leicester City reserves.

Pellegrini out, Moyes in but was Maresca offered interim?
And David Moyes was appointed for the second time in as many years less than 24 hours later.
There had been speculation that Pellegrini’s assistant, Enzo Maresca, was offered two different roles by unpopular co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold.
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, who famously broke news of Sebastien Haller’s £45million move to West Ham in the summer, claimed Maresca was offered the role of interim manager AND to be one of Moyes’s assistants.
“Enzo Maresca left West Ham after Manuel Pellegrini was fired, although he was offered the chance to be with David Moyes,” Schira said on Twitter.
“While last Saturday night he had rejected the option to become interim manager of Hammers.”

Highly-rated coach departs
According to recent reports Maresca was highly regarded at West Ham.
The Guardian claimed the 39-year-old – who was brought to West Ham by Pellegrini – masterminded the win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
But reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee has refuted Schira’s claims.

Insider refutes Schira claims, says Maresca influence was ‘overplayed’
“Just checked no truth in the Enzo story of being interim,” ExWHUemployee said on Twitter.
“As I said before Moyes had been lined up for a while.
“I think his role has been overplayed. (Maresca) did some work on the opposition before that game with players. He did the same against Southampton but then he did it for Palace and Leicester etc, he was talked up before Moyes had accepted return so if he did have to step in fans would be happy.”
