Claret and Hugh have claimed that there is absolutely no substance to the rumour regarding West Ham preparing a new contract offer for Tomas Soucek in response to Bayern Munich’s interest in the midfielder.

The 25-year-old joined the Hammers from Slavia Prague initially on loan in January.
West Ham made the deal a permanent one in July for around £15 million (Daily Mail).
And Soucek has proven to be a real hit at the London Stadium.

The towering Czech Republic international has already scored six goals in just 25 Premier League games for the Hammers.
The former Slavia Prague ace looks like one of the signings of the summer.
His fine work in east London has clearly not gone unnoticed, however.
TEAMtalk claimed on Saturday night that Bayern Munich are eyeing up a move for the West Ham ace. And in order to fend of the German club’s interest, the Hammers are allegedly preparing to offer Soucek a new deal.
Claret and Hugh have today poured cold water on those claims, however.

The West Ham insiders claims TEAMtalk are well wide of the mark.
C&H suggest that the Hammers have the option of extending Soucek’s current deal by a further 24 months.
So as things stand, West Ham hold all of the cards. And most importantly, Soucek looks incredibly happy to be plying his trade at the London Stadium.
If Bayern Munich actually make a concrete move to sign the 25-year-old, however, it will be interesting to see both the club and player’s response.
