Liverpool want to sign West Ham United star Issa Diop as his future is once again called into question.

“I’m no show pony” insists Benrahma

That’s according to reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee who says Liverpool are ready to pounce with Diop’s future uncertain.

Diop has regularly been linked with moves away from West Ham to the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and even Barcelona.

Liverpool want West Ham outcast Diop claims insider

Now it seems Premier League champions Liverpool are in the mix.

Reports back in 2019 claimed West Ham would not consider selling for less than their £75million valuation (Telegraph).

The French defender was a revelation after signing for £22.5million from Toulouse back in the summer of 2018.

But – like many of West Ham’s squad – he lost his way last season. Liverpool meanwhile were winning the league title for the first time in 30 years, making them an increasingly attractive proposition for players.

Diop looked desperately out of sorts for West Ham in pre-season. And he has only featured once as a substitute since being forced to isolate due to a positive Covid-19 test earlier this term.

Hammers in fine form during Diop absence as Moyes leaves defender out of squad for Leeds

West Ham have had their best start to a season for five years in his absence. And his replacements Fabian Balbuena and Aaron Cresswell have been excellent.

Reports have emerged claiming Diop could be sold after he was left out of David Moyes’s squad when West Ham played Leeds last time out.

The 23-year-old was dropped in favour of on loan Craig Dawson.

Liverpool have suffered season-ending injuries to key defenders Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

Insider lifts lid on Moyes stance over Diop’s future

Now ExWHUemployee has revealed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Diop. But he claims Moyes does rate the centre-back and wants to keep him at West Ham.

“Despite rumours in the press that Issa Diop is on his way out of the club, I can confirm that he is not for sale at this point and David Moyes thinks he has a big future at the club,” ExWHUemployee said.

“Liverpool and a number of other clubs are apparently interested and reports say Diop wasn’t in the last match squad because of a falling out with Moyes.

“This is simply not true and Dawson’s inclusion was purely a selection choice and nothing else!”
