Arsenal and Manchester United have joined West Ham in the race to sign Slavia Prague striker Abdallah Sima according to Claret and Hugh.

It is suggested that the ‘Czech connection’ at the London Stadium could give the Hammers the advantage over the Gunners and the Red Devils in the race for the 19-year-old’s signature, however.

David Moyes will be desperate to bolster his centre-forward ranks at the London Stadium.

Michail Antonio is currently out injured whilst Sebastien Haller continues to struggle.

ExWHUemployee recently claimed that Moyes wants to bring Slavia Prague striker Abdallah Sima to east London in January.

Claret and Hugh now suggest that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer want him too, however.

That will be an undoubted problem for West Ham. There could be another issue as well.

Calcio Mercato have claimed that Slavia Prague president Jaroslav Tvrdik could demand as much as £45 million for the striker.

West Ham in pole position for Sima?

There is good news for the Hammers on both counts, however.

Claret and Hugh claims that a source inside the club have told them that the ‘Czech connection’ currently present at West Ham could tip the sclaes in our favour.

The Hammers have signed Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal from Slavia Prague over the past 12 months. We clearly have a very strong relationship with the Czech club so that should stand us in very good stead as we try to beat Arsenal and Man United to Abdallah Sima’s signature.

As far as the 19-year-old’s valuation goes, we would surely be able to pick him up for less than the mooted £45 million fee.

Slavia sold their best player – Tomas Soucek for just £19 million after all (Football.London).

We should be going all out for Sima in January.

The Slavia Prague youngster has been in superb form for the Czech outfit this season, with 13 goals in 18 games to his name (Transfermarkt).

And if West Ham manage to beat Arsenal and Manchester United to Sima’s signature, it would be a massive statement of intent from us.
