West Ham are reportedly in ‘advanced’ talks with £12m Aston Villa striker Danny Ings and he could face Everton this weekend.
They say desperate times call for desperate measures. And they don’t come more desperate than West Ham and David Moyes right now.
The Hammers face Everton in a must-win six-pointer down on Saturday with both clubs in the relegation zone.
West Ham and Everton have both been linked with a plethora of players this month in a bid to inject some life into the potentially disastrous season that is playing out before them.

A striker is high on West Ham’ particular wanted list with reports that summer signing Gianluca Scamacca could be out for a month and Michail Antonio a spent force at Premier League level.
West Ham have been linked with Danny Ings several times since ex Toffees boss Moyes returned to east London in 2020.
The Hammers reportedly missed out on signing Ings when he joined Aston Villa for around £30m just over 18 months ago.
And speculation resurfaced that he could swap the claret and blue of Aston Villa for West Ham this week.
Well now West Ham are in ‘advanced’ talks with £12m Aston Villa striker Ings and he could face Everton.
According to Birmingham Live, West Ham have agreed a deal with Villa and Ings is now in “advanced talks” with the Hammers over a move.

West Ham will have until Friday to get the deal done if they want Ings available for the Everton clash.
The 30-year-old forward has suffered with injury problems throughout his career.
So this would be a signing that comes with a lot of risk for West Ham.
As an ex Liverpool player, Ings may relish facing Everton this weekend if the Hammers can get a deal done before Friday’s registration cut off.
Ings has scored 14 goals in 52 games for Villa. Many fans will feel like this is a signing typical of the West Ham of old. A player over 30, with a questionable injury record.
But as we said at the top of the article, desperate times call for desperate measures and Ings does at least know where the goal is.
