West Ham United new boy Pablo Fornals was one of the star players on show as Spain beat France to make the 2019 Euro Under 21 final.

West Ham made Fornals their second most expensive signing of all time earlier this month (

And Hammers fans have been watching his performances and goals over in Italy with glee.

Fornals on fire

New West Ham midfielder Fornals scored in consecutive victories to help secure a semi-final match against France.

And despite going 1-0 down classy Spain dominated to win 4-1.

At the heart of their victory was West Ham man Fornals who pulled the strings all game.

Floating from left wing to a central number 10 role, to the odd moment up front and on the right, versatile Fornals set up numerous chances for his teammates and was a thorn in France’s side all night.

Silky, classy, versatile and exciting

His quality on the ball and reading of the play will have had West Ham fans excited. Silky touches, passing, and an almost brilliant solo goal meant he stood out alongside teammates Dani Ceballos and Dani Olmo.

Fornals was not work shy either, tracking back throughout the match to help his side defend their lead.

And he topped it off by delivering a brilliant assist for Spain’s fourth, curling in a cross with the outside of his right foot from the left wing.

West Ham played a blinder getting deal done early

It means West Ham could have a European champion in their squad when Manuel Pellegrini’s side meet up for pre-season.

That’s if Spain can overcome Germany in the final this weekend.

One thing is for sure West Ham look to have played a blinder getting the deal done early.

Had they not, many more clubs across Europe would surely be chasing Fornals after his excellent performances.

Plenty of West Ham fans will be tuning in for Sunday’s final which is live on Sky Sports at 7.30pm.
