The Hammers insider suggested yesterday that the powers that be at the London Stadium thought a deal for the 26-year-old was unlikely.
That all seems to have changed, however.
And the Hammers are now confident of getting a deal for Zouma done.
That’s according to West Ham insider ExWHUemployee.
West Ham signing Chelsea ace Zouma would be great business
The 26-year-old is an experienced winner in spite of his tender years. He already has two Premier League titles and a Champions League winner’s medal to his name.
In 24 Premier League outings for Chelsea last season, Zouma averaged 0.7 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 3.8 clearances per game. He also won an average of 3.6 aerial duels per match (Who Scored).
Some have questioned the Frenchman’s passing ability but his stats last season dispel the myth that he isn’t great with the ball at his feet.
The 26-year-old made 74 passes on average per game last season and recorded a mightily impressive completion rate of 90.9% (Who Scored).
Hopefully we get this one done asap.
