West Ham United have seemingly thrown their hat back in the ring for the signing of Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall.
Joe Worrall has been a transfer target for West Ham on numerous occasions before, and only failed to sign him after Nottingham Forest got promoted in May 2022.
Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bolster his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium in the January transfer window, so it would be no surprise if the Scot were to make another attempt to sign the 26-year-old Forest man.
According to The Standard, West Ham want Worrall, and could sign him with first-team opportunities having been hard to come by for him this season.
Kurt Zouma continues to struggle with his fitness whilst Angelo Ogbonna will be 36 in May, so the addition of a proven centre-back is definitely needed at the London Stadium.
And it seems as though Joe Worrall could well be the man for the job…

West Ham have a good chance of signing Joe Worrall in January
The Standard claim that Worrall’s lack of action this season could see him move to East London in January.
I actually think that the Forest ace would be a smart signing by Moyes.
And according to a report from The Sun, he could be available for around £12-15 million, and in this day and age, that would represent decent value in my book.
The 26-year-old is well known for being an aerially dominant and a tough tackling central defender.
Worrall stands at 6ft 4in tall and is a real warrior. He is exactly the kind of defender Moyes should be looking to sign. He is a composed defender, extremely mature for his age and is already a real leader for Forest, despite his lack of action recently.
If West Ham are able to sign Joe Worrall for just £12 million, it should be a deal that Moyes is all over as far as I’m concerned.
