According to The Times, the 28-year-old is now prepared to leave Old Trafford in search of regular first-team football.
Lingard spent an incredibly successful four month loan spell with the Hammers last season, scoring nine goals in 16 Premier League games.
David Moyes is desperate to bring him back to the London Stadium on a permanent deal. And it’s understandable as to why.

Jesse played such a key role for West Ham last season. So it was incredibly frustrating for the Hammers fans when it seemed as though he would be staying with Man United.
The 28-year-old wanted to stay and fight for his place at Old Trafford according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as quoted by Manchester United’s official website.
West Ham Lingard boost
Things seem to have changed in the Hammers’ favour.
The Times reckon that the 29-capped England international is now prepared to leave his boyhood club.

That is huge news for West Ham. We quite simply have to lodge an acceptable bid for his services now. No waiting around.
The Express have claimed that West Ham could sign Lingard for around £20 million this summer. That is an absolute no-brainer for David Moyes.
