West Ham get big Richarlison hope in David Moyes’ bid to sign prime striker target Armando Broja from Chelsea.

West Ham were first linked with a move for Chelsea-owned Broja earlier this season after seriously catching the eye on loan at Southampton (Football Insider).

Now another Blues striker – Richarlison at Everton – could help the Hammers get their man.

Sky Sports has reported that Broja is on Moyes’s list of striker targets for the summer window with a forward being a top priority for West Ham.

And Sky Sports transfer reporter Dharmesh Sheth claimed recently that Chelsea have set West Ham a fee of more than £25m for Broja, claiming an official bid from the Hammers is imminent.

There were setbacks in West Ham’s plans to sign Broja last week when Telegraph journalist Jason Burt said Chelsea are rejecting any approaches for the Albanian striker and are in no rush to sell him.

A West Ham insider then told Claret and Hugh that any deal for Broja will have to wait until the end of pre-season while he is assessed closely by Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel during a tour of America.

But most crucial has been the departure of Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea. That means West Ham will likely have to wait and hope the Blues get a new striker or two signed before they consider letting Broja leave.

Now West Ham have been handed big Richarlison hope in Moyes’ bid to sign striker Broja from Chelsea.

Because the likes of Sky Sports report that Chelsea are set to launch a bid for the Brazilian Everton forward AND two other strikers.

Sky Sports claims Chelsea could sign as many as three new forwards, with interest in Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele and now Richarlison too.

That is absolutely brilliant news for West Ham who are desperate to land Broja and are said to be waiting in the wings with a £30m bid.

The likes of Spurs are also interested in Richarlison.

But a move to Chelsea would surely be more attractive given the lack of game time he would get at Tottenham behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

And that can only be good news for West Ham’s own hopes of finally landing a new striker at the third full transfer window of asking.
