West Ham United are doing all they can to avoid relegation from the Premier League by making signings on Deadline Day.
Quite whether West Ham United’s January transfer business will be enough to pull them clear come May is up for debate.
Still, West Ham are active on Deadline Day and are pushing to make a late defensive signing.
We all love the club to bits, but let’s be real – what would you have to tell a new signing to convince them to join?! 😔
Indeed, West Ham have scheduled a medical for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, although there would appear to be some work to do before actually signing him.
Still, the Hammers are not alone in looking to add to their options during what remains of the January transfer window – with their relegation rivals also active on Deadline Day.

Wolves push for new signings after £48m Jorgen Strand Larsen exit
Wolves, unlike West Ham, appear to be spending the money they have received through player sales.
According to Sky Sports, the Premier League’s bottom club are set to sell Jorgen Strand Larsen – linked with West Ham earlier this month – to Crystal Palace for around £48million.
How much of the £40m that we spent on Max Kilman could we realistically get back?!
In turn, they are preparing medicals for two new signings. Angel Gomes, another player linked with the Hammers, is set to join on loan from Marseille.
Wolves are also set to sign Southampton’s Adam Armstrong for around £7million up-front with a further £2million in add-ons.
West Ham’s stance on Deadline Day deals after Axel Disasi
It does remain to be seen if the Hammers can get a deal for the Blues defender over the line.
Reports now suggest that the Frenchman isn’t yet sure on the move, which is hardly ideal given there is very little time left in the window.

However, Hammers News understands that West Ham are open to signing more players on Deadline Day after Disasi.
With Wolves below them and Forest above them looking for late deals, the Hammers cannot afford to be left behind.
