West Ham are closely watching Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to a report from France Football (November 24th, page 4). Some Hammers fans have reacted angrily to the claims, however.

David Moyes has done a sterling job since taking over as West Ham manager for the second time in December 2019.
The Scot deserves great credit for the manner in which he has transformed the Hammers into a well-drilled and organised team unit.

If Moyes is to take West Ham to another level, however, he needs to make two or three top quality signings.
One area where we need to strengthen in particular is the centre-forward department.
France Football suggest that Lyon ace Moussa Dembele is an option for the Hammers.

The 24-year-old has a decent goalscoring record. Dembele has scored 44 goals in 102 appearances for Lyon. He racked up 51 goals in 94 games for Celtic before moving to France (Transfermarkt).
The Frenchman is currently in the midst of somewhat of a barren run in front of goal, however, having gone 12 games without finding the back of the net for the Ligue 1 outfit.
On the face of it, Dembele would surely still be a decent signing for the Hammers. Or would he?
