West Ham fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to a shock report from Ole claiming that Carlos Tevez could return to East London this summer.
Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium.
According to Claret and Hugh, the Scot is currently prioritising the additions of Tammy Abraham and/or Abdallah Sima.
If West Ham manage to sign Tammy or Sima, the addition of another striker possibly on loan or on a free transfer would be a wise move.
And that’s where Carlos Tevez comes into the equation.
Ole claims that a free transfer is one of three options for the 37-year-old striker now that he’s left Boca Juniors.
The other two are a return to Corinthians or retirement.
East London return on the cards for Carlos?
Tevez joined West Ham from Corinthians on a crazy transfer deadline day way back in the summer of 2006.
The 76-capped Argentina international moved to Upton Park alongside his compatriot Javier Mascherano and the deal was instigated by notorious agent Kia Joorabchian.
Tevez racked up seven goals and five assists in 29 games for the Hammers before leaving Upton Park for Manchester United (Transfermarkt). His fine form during the final six or seven games of the 2006/07 season was the main contributing factor behind West Ham avoiding relegation.
West Ham eventually paid the price and a hefty one at that – £5.5 million, having breached Premier League transfer rules to sign the Argentine stars (The Guardian).

It would be great to see the Argentinian ace back in a Hammers shirt. Regardless of his age!
Some West Ham fans took to Twitter and pleaded with Moyes to make it happen:
