The 27-year-old, who has been capped 30 times by the Republic of Ireland, is a sound defender.
Standing at 6ft 4in tall, Duffy cuts an imposting figure. He is commanding and strong in the air and is a great organiser at the back.
West Ham desperately need a new centre-back what with Angelo Ogbonna being on the wrong side of 31. Also, Winston Reid is unreliable from a fitness perspective. So the addition of a new central defender in January is much needed.
The Brighton man would undoubtedly provide stiff competition for the likes of Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop.
He hasn’t been a first-team regular for Brighton this season, however, playing only seven of his side’s last 14 games.
Would Duffy actually be a good addition for the Hammers, however? The Irishman is a solid Premier League player, but it seems as though some West Ham fans don’t seem to impressed by the links with the Brighton defender…
