West Ham stopper Roberto has been absolutely shocking since stepping in for the injured Lukasz Fabianski, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to a report suggesting that he could be sold in January.
The 33-year-old, who earns £30,000 per week according to Claret and Hugh, is arguably the worst goalkeeper to have ever graced the Premier League.
He was finally dropped for West Ham’s last game. And it was no coincidence that they kept a clean sheet and won the match.
Football Insider claimed a couple of days ago that Manuel Pellegrini has given the green light for Roberto to be sold in January.
Quite who would pay for the Spaniard, however, remains to be seen. The Hammers might have to pay the goalkeeper the remainder of his contract if they actually want to get rid of him. Either that or just let his current deal run down.
Either way, he must be kept as far away form the starting XI as possible for the remainder of the time that he is in east London.
