West Ham United are ready to make a £35 million bid for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, according to a report from the Daily Star. And some Hammers fans have reacted jubilantly on Twitter to the speculation.
Report: Two-time Premier League winner offered to West Ham
David Moyes is in the midst of a frantic search for a new striker.
West Ham sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax just over two weeks ago and we’re now left with Michail Antonio as our only recognised senior centre-forward.
The 30-year-old is vitally important to the Hammers. We cannot rely upon only him for the remainder of the season, however, what with his previous hamstring issues.

West Ham have already been linked with a plethora of strikers.
Celtic hitman Odsonne Edouard is perhaps one of the more exciting ones, however.
The 22-year-old joined Celtic from Paris Saint-Germain for around £9 million in the summer of 2018. Edouard has gone on to rack up 72 goals and 35 assists in 151 games for Neil Lennon’s Hoops side (Transfermarkt).

Edouard is clearly a top class player albeit an unproven commodity in the Premier League.
One big problem is Celtic’s alleged asking price for the Frenchman.
The Daily Star reckon Neil Lennon won’t entertain offers below £35 million for the 23-year-old.
We surely won’t be paying that much money for one player. Perhaps if Celtic would be prepared to lower their demands we may have a chance.
Some West Ham fans have taken to Twitter, urging Moyes to bring Odsonne Edouard to the London Stadium…
