West Ham are looking to sell Albian Ajeti in January, according to a report from Claret and Hugh, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The 22-year-old joined the Hammers from FC Basel in the summer of 2019 for a fee believed to be worth £8 million, according to BBC Sport.
Ajeti has really struggled, however. In fact, he has been nothing short of a disaster.
He has played seven games for West Ham, and he is still yet to rack up either a goal or an assist.
The 10-capped Switzerland international is clearly not good enough for the Premier League, and as things stand, it seems as though the Hammers have signed a dud.
As usual, it seems as though the West Ham owners went for the cheap option.
It could also be argued, however, that the 22-year-old simply hasn’t been given enough chances to shine.
If the Hammers want to make real progress, they need to sign a top class, established striker in January. And getting rid of Ajeti would also be a wise move.
