West Ham United want to sign Marseille ace Morgan Sanson according to a report from the Sun, and are prepared to send Manuel Lanzini in the opposite direction as part of a swap deal. And some Hammers fans have reacted angrily on Twitter to the speculation.
David Moyes will undoubtedly be busy in the transfer market this month.
West Ham desperately need to sign a new striker, a left wing-back and a central midfielder.
As thins stand, however, it seems as though the Hammers are no closer to actually signing anyone.
The Sun claimed on Saturday that West Ham are interested in bolstering their central midfield options this month by bringing Morgan Sanson to the London Stadium.
West Ham eye Morgan Sanson and Manuel Lanzini swap deal
Manuel Lanzini would allegedly head the opposite way as part of a potential swap deal.
That would make absolutely no sense, however. As good a player as Sanson undoubtedly is, swapping him for Lanzini would be very much a sideways move.
The Hammers need to strengthen our squad, not just maintain the numbers we have. Losing Manu would be a bitter pill to swallow as well, in spite of his patchy form over the past two years.
