West Ham fans react to links with Liverpool ace Adam Lallana

According to a report from the Telegraph, West Ham are interested in signing Liverpool ace Adam Lallana on a free transfer in the summer, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The 31-year-old joined the Reds from Southampton in the summer of 2014 for a fee believed to be worth £25 million (BBC).

Lallana has gone on to rack up 22 goals and 22 assists in 175 games in all competitions for Liverpool (Transfermarkt).

Those aren’t exactly prolific numbers, but the 34-capped England international is one of the most technically gifted players in the Premier League when he is fully fit and on form.

And he might just be a very useful addition for West Ham.

Although it must be noted that Lallana will be 32 before the start of next season, and the Hammers are allegedly trying to move away from signing older players who are past their best (The Guardian).

The Telegraph claim that Leicester, Tottenham and Arsenal want the Liverpool ace too. So West Ham will not have things all their own way in the chase for the former Saints man’s signature.

The east London outfit’s chance of signing the play-maker will obviously hinge heavily on whether they remain in the Premier League or not.

Some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation that Lallana could be a target for David Moyes in the summer…
