According to a report from Football Insider, West Ham are imminently set to make a bid in excess of £10 million for Genk starlet Sander Berge, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The east London outfit are noticeably weak in the middle of the park. Declan Rice has impressed over the past 18 months, but he needs more athleticism and energy alongside him.
Mark Noble is still an important player for West Ham, but he is not getting any younger, and the Hammers’ lack of physicality in midfield will end up costing them time and time again, especially in tough away games.

WAYNE ROONEY TO EVERTON IS A JOKE.
Berge would certainly fix that issue.
The 21-year-old is powerfully built, dynamic and has bundles of energy. With 20 caps to his name already for Norway, the Genk ace is already a fully established player.
Football Insider claims that a bid for Berge is imminent from West Ham.
Now, a bid in the region of £10 million surely will not be enough to prise the 6ft 4in ace away from the Belgian club.
If West Ham really want Berge, they must show their true intent to Genk, and make more of an acceptable offer for him.
Some Hammers fans took to Twitter urging their club to get a deal for the Norwegian done this month…
Set to run the whole month and then we can say we tried when wolves pay 15m fir him and dign him up in one day

We might as well offer Genk a packet of crisps, more chance of getting him with that offer rather than £10 million

Good to see Sullivan up to his old tricks by offering a ridiculously low bid 🙈

Typical Sullivan offer, he costs 18m (cheap for a player like him) and even then we try to under-bid. Classless clown
