West Ham fans react to Franck Kessie links

According to a report from the Evening Standard, West Ham have been offered the chance to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie on loan for the rest of the season, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

ExWHUemployee backed up the report last night, suggesting that the east London outfit are indeed keen on the 35-capped Ivory Coast international, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast.

The Hammers do really need to bring in someone on a permanent basis, however. Whilst a loan move for Kessie could be a quick fix between now and the end of the season, it will do them no good in the long term.

Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti suggested via his official YouTube account towards the end of last year that Milan could be willing to sell the 23-year-old midfielder for just €25 million (£21 million).

And in this day and age, that would represent excellent value for money for West Ham.

Kessie possesses all of the attributes that the Hammers so desperately lack. He is powerful, energetic and dynamic in his play. He would add a real level of physicality and athleticism to David Moyes’s engine room.

Surprisingly, however, there was a mixed reaction from some West Ham fans who took to Twitter in reaction to the report suggesting that the Ivorian has been offered to the Hammers…
