West Ham fans react to claims that Sebastien Haller could be sold

According to a report from the Express, West Ham could be tempted to sell Sebastien Haller this summer in order to fund a move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi. And some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.

The 25-year-old joined the Hammers from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019 for around £45 million (BBC).

The Frenchman has really struggled to settle at the London Stadium, however.

He has scored just seven goals in 29 games for the Hammers (Transfermarkt).

Haller has won an average of 7.6 aerial duals per game in 27 Premier League outings this season (Who Scored).

West Ham hitman needs more support

It could be argued that the former Eintracht Frankfurt ace hasn’t been given the support that he requires, however. And it is surely too early to give up on the 25-year-old just yet.

The Express claims that that is exactly what might happen, however. They suggest that the Hammers could sell Haller in order to raise funds for a swoop for Chelsea hitman Michy Batshuayi. The 26-year-old will allegedly cost around £40 million.

The Belgian has hardly set the world alight since moving to Stamford Bridge though. And David Moyes bringing him to the London Stadium would undoubtedly divide opinion.
