According to a report from Football.London, Carlos Sanchez rejected the chance to leave West Ham in January in order to stay and fight for his place at the London Stadium, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The Colombian international joined the east London outfit in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth £3.7 million, according to Viola Nation.

Sanchez, 33, has gone on to make 17 appearances for West Ham, failing to register either a goal or an assist (Transfermarkt).

In short, he has been a total disaster for the Hammers.

The South American is slow, laboured in possession and his passing is nowhere near good enough. It could be argued that Sanchez is not good enough for League One football, let alone the Premier League.

In 13 league appearances for West Ham, the former Aston Villa man has racked up just five tackles and three interceptions. His tackle success rate is just 60%, and he has won less than 50% of his individual duals against opposing players (premierleague.com).

Sanchez is out of contract in the summer, so he will surely not be in east London for too much longer.
