West Ham want to sign Bournemouth stopper Asmir Begovic in January, according to the Sun, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The east London outfit currently have real problems in the goalkeeping department.
Number one stopper Lukasz Fabianski has been out injured since September. And Roberto has been a disaster since filling in for the Pole.
David Martin took the Spaniard’s place for the last two games, but if we’re being honest, the 33-year-old hasn’t exactly looked convincing.
So signing someone like Begovic would surely strengthen West Ham in a position that is currently a real worry.
He is currently on loan in Azerbaijan with Qarabag, however, so it could be argued that he is already past his best.
And that seemed to be what many West Ham fans are thinking. They took to Twitter to deliver their verdicts on the prospect of the 61-capped Bosnia and Herzegovina international moving to the London Stadium…
Big name ✔️
Past it ✔️

He used to be very good few seasons ago but signing him now is a big risk. I would take Jack Butland over him.

Guy who made the most mistakes leading to goals than any other player on the league last year…
Sounds about right.

No thanks. A toxic player that is totally unprofessional. There’s a reason why Eddie Howe has isolated him out the squad.
