West Ham’s striker search has taken a new twist. According to trusted insider EXWHUEmployee, West Ham’s top striker target is now FC Basel striker Albian Ajeti.
Other clubs are in for Ajeti and West Ham are trying to negotiate a deal for him. Basel want to sell the 22-year-old while West Ham are trying to sort out a loan-to-buy agreement.
EXWHUEmployee’s update is in line with reports from Switzerland. Swiss media outlet Blick reported that West Ham are thinking about making a bid of £8.5m for Ajeti while West Brom are also keen.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
West Ham’s priority before Thursday is Goncalo Cardoso, who is reportedly on the verge of completing a £2.75m move to East London (Sky Sports News). But after the Portuguese centre-back arrives, the Hammers could move for Ajeti to solve their striker problems.
Sebastian Haller and Javier Hernandez are the only two strikers on West Ham’s books with Michail Antonio able to slot in too. Ajeti would complete Manuel Pellegrini’s ranks if he does arrive.
Here are some tweets from West Ham fans after EXWHUEmployee revealed that the Switzerland international was West Ham’s top striker target.
Surely we can pay a loan fee and the majority of his wages, with an option to buy in Jan, to get the deal done?

It’s worth it imo! 22 years old and a natural born finisher. This lad genuinely could be better than Arnie for us in long run. I would even consider playing him alongside Haller at times to get best out of him. For me it’s no brainer then bring Bakyoko in on loan and we are set.

Surely we can buy him ? Nearly 8 million from Obiang sale and 2 million for Oxford there’s the money for Aleti there

Would be a good move on a loan with option to buy. Thought West Brom were trying to bring him in though?

Yes please, and then we can put Antonio in his best positon RM/RW rather than trying to fit him up front
