Hammers boss David Moyes will undoubtedly be keen to bolster his attacking options when the transfer window re-opens.
Sebastien Haller and Albian Ajeti have both struggled since joining West Ham in the summer of 2019.
And the Sun claims that Moyes could try to rectify that issue by bringing in Bordeaux ace Maja – someone he managed during his spell in charge of Sunderland.
Stats
Maja has been in decent form for Bordeaux over the past 15 months.
The 21-year-old has racked up nine goals and three assists in 31 goals for the French club (Transfermarkt).
In 21 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux this season, the Lewisham-born striker has started just six times, however.
In those outings, Maja has averaged 0.9 shots, 0.5 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per game. He has also racked up six goals and two assists in those games (Who Scored).
At the age of 21, however, the Bordeaux ace has plenty of years ahead of him to improve and develop into a top class striker.
Anyone who has watched Netflix’s ‘Sunderland ‘Til I Die’ documentary, however, will know that Maja’s agent is extremely troublesome.
So a move for the 21-year-old is perhaps best avoided.
