According to a report from German publication Kicker, West Ham are lining up a late swoop for Hertha Berlin forward Salomon Kalou, and some Hammers fans reacted angrily on Twitter to the speculation.

Kalou, who won a Premier League title and four FA Cups during his time with Chelsea, has scored just 53 goals in his last 170 appearances for the German side.

West Ham should be looking to sign young and hungry up-and-coming talents, not washed up has-beens who are looking for one final pay-check.

Jarrod Bowen has been linked with a move to the Hammers (The Sun), and the east London outfit should be focusing all of their attention on the Hull City ace instead of messing around wasting time going for Kalou.

Some West Ham fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation that the Ivorian is a deadline day target for David Moyes…
