And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
David Moyes will be desperate to bring Jesse Lingard back to the London Stadium on a permanent deal from Manchester United before the transfer window slams shut.

If the Scot fails to do that, however, the addition of another talented number 10 will be required.
And it seems as though Barcelona ace Philippe Coutinho could be an option.
The question is, would David Moyes really want a 29-year-old who has experienced terrible problems with injuries and poor form over the past year or so? The answer is probably no.
That’s not to say that the Brazilian isn’t immensely talented, however.
West Ham fans react to Philippe Coutinho rumour

The finances behind a potential deal for Coutinho would undoubtedly prove to be tricky to say the least.
It could be feasible at the same time, however.
The Sunday Mirror (print edition August 15th, page 74) claims that West Ham would only have to pay 60 per cent of his £7.7 million per year wages.
That works out at roughly £88k-a-week – more than doable for the Hammers.
