Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bring the 25-year-old Portuguese hitman to the London Stadium this summer according to a report from the Daily Mail.
West Ham currently have Michail Antonio as their only recognised centre-forward.
That really is laughable. In fact it’s quite pathetic.
It is what it is, however. All that matters now is rectifying our woeful lack of strength in depth in the centre-forward department in the summer.

And Andre Silva would be an exceptional signing for the Hammers.
Silva has been on fire in Germany this season. The Portugal international has scored 23 goals in 27 Bundesliga games (Transfermarkt). He is ahead of Erling Haaland in the Bundesliga goalscoring charts and behind only one player – Robert Lewandowski.

He has so much talent and was once valued at a staggering €60 million (£53 million) according to ESPN.
At 25, Silva is at the ideal age to make the jump up to the Premier League from he Bundesliga.
And £26 million for his services would represent truly exceptional value for the Hammers. He earns around £55k-a-week according to Football League FC. So his wage demands should not be a problem.
