ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham United are ‘especially keen’ on Blackburn Rovers striker Adam Armstrong. And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
David Moyes will be desperate to bring an established striker to the London Stadium between now and the end of the month.
With Sebastien Haller having been sold to Ajax last week, West Ham are now down to the bare bones in the centre-forward department.
There is good news, however – we actually have some funds to spend!
Quite who David Moyes brings in remains to be seen, however.
ExWHUemployee recently claimed that the Hammers are especially keen on signing Blackburn hitman Adam Armstrong. And the Englishman would be the absolutely perfect addition for us.
He is young, hungry and would have a real point to prove in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old has been in superb form for Rovers this season. He has scored 16 goals in 22 Championship appearances (Transfermarkt).
Armstrong would be absolutely ideal for David Moyes’s system. The 23-year-old is diminutive, a tireless worker and has all of the qualities needed to compete with Michail Antonio for a starting role.
The former Newcastle ace is energetic and dynamic and possesses explosive and devastating pace – qualities recently outlined by his manager Tony Mowbray, as quoted by the Evening Express.
