Some West Ham fans have reacted angrily on Twitter to the Evening Standard claiming that David Moyes wants to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah this summer.

The Hammers boss desperately needs to bolster his centre-forward ranks at the London Stadium before the start of next season.

West Ham manager Moyes currently has Michail Antonio as his only recognised senior centre-forward option.

If West Ham qualify for Europe, Moyes will have to drastically strengthen his squad.

And the addition of a top class striker should be his absolute priority.


The Evening Standard claims that Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is a prime target for West Ham because Moyes views him as the ideal fit for his squad.

The 21-year-old Lewisham born Gunners hitman is far from prolific, however. And there are big question marks as to whether he is the right man for the job at the London Stadium.

Nketiah has never really produced the goods for Arsenal at the very highest level, despite a stellar youth career.

The Gunners could demand as much as £30 million for the young striker as well (talkSPORT).
