According to a report from Juve News, West Ham could open talks to sign Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira shortly. And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

Hammers boss David Moyes will undoubtedly be looking to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium in January.

It must be said though, West Ham should be going nowhere near Khedira.

Sure, he is an experienced winner. He is also extremely injury prone, however. The 33-year-old is well past his best and would command a huge salary.

The German World Cup and Champions League winner currently earns £130,000 per week, according to Silly Season.

 

West Ham should be targeting young, powerful and energetic midfield players in January and next summer.

Khedira just doesn’t fit into that category anymore.

The Juventus ace has had his day in the sun. He will undoubtedly get one more big pay day somewhere. Let’s just hope it’s not at the London Stadium.
