ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham could look to offer Declan Rice a new contract soon and some Hammers fans have reacted on Twitter to the insider’s update.

The 21-year-old is an absolute star in the making.
He really does have everything that a manager looks for in a modern day defensive midfielder.

The 13-capped England international has been superb for West Ham over the past two or three years and he is undoubtedly David Moyes’s most important player at the London Stadium.
Rice is still under contract with the Hammers until the summer of 2024. The east London outfit have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months as well.
It seems as though West Ham could make an attempt to tie the 21-year-old down to an even longer deal, however.

ExWHUemployee suggested that the Hammers could be looking to open discussions with the defensive midfielder shortly.
West Ham could just be attempting to protect Rice’s value of course. But even so, it’s good news, whatever way you look at it.
