The East London outfit have cast their net far and wide over the past few months, with at least 30 centre-forwards having been linked with the club since January.
Adam Armstrong is a name that is not going away, however.
The Daily Mail reckons that the prolific 24-year-old could be picked up for just £8 million his summer.
That really would be tremendous value for someone who possesses such a great goalscoring record.

The Blackburn hitman is incredibly mobile, possesses blistering pace and works his socks off each and every time he takes to the pitch.
He racked up an incredible 28 goals in 40 league games and finished the season behind only Brentford striker Ivan Toney in the Championship goalscoring charts (Transfermarkt).
£8 million for Armstrong seems like truly incredible value. Especially considering how tight finances will be at the London Stadium this summer.
