Central defence is certainly an area where David Moyes needs to strengthen this summer.

The latest one to add to the list is Liverpool ace Nat Phillips.

The old school centre-back is a no-nonsense defender. He is everything that David Moyes looks for in a centre-back.

The 24-year-old is a hard-worker, a gritty all-round player, is dominant in the air and is a tenacious tackler.

In 17 Premier League outings for the Reds last season, the 24-year-old averaged 1.3 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 4.8 clearances and 0.8 blocks per game. He also won an average of 5.6 aerial duels per match during those appearances (Who Scored).

He is an absolute warrior and he would be adored at the London Stadium.

West Ham fans buzzing about Phillips links

Liverpool Echo reckon that Jurgen Klopp will demand around £10 million for the Liverpool defender. That sounds like outstanding value to us.
