West Ham might be facing an uphill battle if they are to sign Wissam Ben Yedder this summer. The Sun claims that Manchester United are keen on signing the French hitman.

The east London outfit are big fans of the Monaco striker, according to reliable insider ExWHUemployee.
Football.London also claimed that West Ham are keen on signing Ben Yedder.
And if the 29-year-old has a choice between the Hammers and the Red Devils, there is surely only one decision he can make.
David Moyes will surely be desperate to bring a new striker in to the London Stadium this summer.
Albian Ajeti has struggled to establish himself since joining West Ham in the summer of 2019. And Sebastien Haller hasn’t exactly hit the ground running either.
But the 6ft 3in Frenchman clearly needs more support.
And Ben Yedder would be the perfect foil for Haller.
Lethal goal record
The 29-year-old joined Monaco for around £34 million in the summer of 2019 (Bleacher Report).
He has made an impressive start to life in the principality, scoring 19 goals in 31 games so far this season (Transfermarkt).
Ben Yedder is clearly a top class striker, with 160 goals in 343 career games to his name (Transfermarkt).
He would be an excellent addition for either West Ham or Manchester United. But the 20-time Premier League champions are surely in the driving seat with their superior financial muscle and the fact that they could offer him more chances to win major trophies.
The Monaco ace is 29, however. And it might prove tricky for him to adjust to the frenetic pace of the Premier League.
Ben Yedder might just be worth the punt, however.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has worked wonders with improving players already at Old Trafford. And he would surely love the chance to work with the Monaco hitman.
It remains to be seen whether David Moyes can tempt the Frenchman into joining West Ham instead of Manchester United, however.
It must be said, though. It’s highly doubtful that he can.
