West Ham face big problem as Newcastle allegedly make bid for Leeds ace Jack Harrison

Newcastle are now allegedly lining up a move to sign West Ham United target Jack Harrison from Leeds United this summer.

That’s according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb who claim that Newcastle have actually made an official offer for the 25-year-old Leeds winger.

West Ham manager David Moyes wants to bring Harrison to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window according to 90 Min.

It seems as though Newcastle will represent a really big problem for the Hammers though, and not for the first time this summer.

The Toon seemingly make moves to sign pretty much every player we are linked with. The good news is that we beat Newcastle to the signings of Alphonse Areola and Nayef Aguerd.

Nevertheless, their financial muscle will undoubtedly be an inconvenience for us this summer…

Newcastle to challenge West Ham for Jack Harrison

TuttoMercatoWeb claim that the Magpies have made an official offer for the 25-year-old Leeds star.

We think that Harrison would be a very strong addition for the Hammers. So losing out on his signature to Newcastle would be an undoubted blow.

It’s little wonder why Moyes wants to bring him to West Ham – he scored a hat-trick against us back in January during a 3-2 win for Leeds at the London Stadium.

Leeds signed the 25-year-old from Manchester City on a permanent £11 million deal last summer (The Athletic) having had him on loan at Elland Road since the start of the 2018 season.

He bagged 10 goals and two assists in 38 games for Leeds last season (Transfermarkt).

Harrison possesses exceptional technical ability, decent pace and has a real eye for goal.

The energy that he has would certainly be a big plus for either West Ham or Newcastle in the final third next season.

He has been described as an ‘extraordinary’ player by Yorkshire Post chief football write Graham Smyth.

Leeds want around €42 million (£36 million) for Harrison according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

With Andy Yarmolenko gone, signing a left-footed winger will surely feature highly on Moyes’s agenda this summer.

The Leeds star would be perfect for West Ham.

Unfortunately for us though, it seems as though Newcastle could be in pole position to sign Jack Harrison this summer.
