According to a report from Centotrentuno, Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa has made the 35-capped Uruguay international his top summer transfer target.

The Cagliari ace is a gritty and tenacious central midfielder.

His playing style is quintessentially South American. And he seems to be ideally suited to the robust and intense nature of the Premier League.

David Moyes, meanwhile, has been linked with a move to bring Nandez to the London Stadium since January 2020 (ExWHUemployee and Centotrentuno).

If Leeds do make a strong move for the Cagliari ace, the South American connection between Bielsa and Nandez could prove to be a key factor in where the diminutive midfielder ends up playing his football next season.

Nandez has enjoyed a superb campaign with Cagliari this term. And he is exactly the kind of player David Moyes should be targeting.

The 25-year-old has averaged 1.7 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 1.3 dribbles and 1.4 clearances in 27 Serie A appearances this season. He has made 32 passes per game on average during those outings and has recorded a completion rate of 77.5% (Who Scored).

Soccer Souls describe the tenacious midfielder as ‘outstanding’. He could be available for around £31 million this summer according to a report from Centotrentuno.

Nandez is a top class player and is at the ideal age to make the move from Serie A to the Premier League.

Let’s just hope that Leeds don’t prove to be problematic in our pursuit of the Uruguayan ace this summer.
