West Ham have issued their most exciting transfer update of the summer window so far, with the board making a stunning pledge that could transform the mood around the club.

Amid mounting frustration West Ham’s owners have made a commitment that will go some way to appeasing angry supporters.
Although the proof of the pudding, as always, will be in the eating.
Many West Ham supporters were already angry with the way a vital summer transfer window is panning out.
Pre-season got underway this week with no new arrivals for the Hammers – and the start of the new Premier League campaign is now just five weeks away.
West Ham fans raging over transfer window
The mood of West Ham fans darkened further still when the board did the unthinkable and buckled to sell Mohammed Kudus to Spurs this week.
At £54.5m the deal was over £30m lower than Kudus’ red herring “release clause” and £10m less than the figure West Ham originally stated they would not budge from.
Fans have been highly critical of majority owner David Sullivan and the board over West Ham’s situation.
They are demanding the club take action and start making signings for Graham Potter now money has been brought in.

West Ham made a pledge to give Potter all of the Kudus funds in the wake of his sale to Tottenham – but the club insisted they won’t be rushed on signings.
One of the club’s top priorities is to sign a new striker this summer.
With Danny Ings departing, Michail Antonio looking set to leave after the expiration of his contract and Evan Ferguson sent back to Brighton after a disastrous loan, that is undeniable.
It leaves Niclas Fullkrug, who endured an injury-ravaged debut year at the London Stadium and turns 33 next season, as West Ham’s only senior striker.
West Ham deliver most exciting transfer update yet
Speculation had been rife that Fullkrug will be sold this summer, especially after Potter made it clear he sees him as an impact sub at best for the Hammers.
In a Hammers News exclusive after the sale of Kudus, West Ham revealed Fullkrug is staying and has lost three kilos in a bid to make a success of his move.
Many fans have seen that as the club’s way of getting out of signing a new forward this summer.
But now West Ham have delivered the most exciting transfer update yet as the board make a thrilling new pledge.

Supporter scepticism over the club’s new backing of Fullkrug is understandable.
And it would be a dangerous risk to take relying solely on Fullkrug going into what’s expected to be the most fiercely competitive Premier League season for years.
That won’t be the case if Potter’s plan comes together, though.
Hammers News put it to the top spokesman for West Ham’s owners that relying on Fullkrug as the club’s main striker going into the season would be a huge gamble.
We asked the board directly whether the big German staying will mean West Ham won’t be signing a new striker.
Hammers board make thrilling new striker pledge
The response will be music to the ears of West Ham’s fans as the club puts a bold pledge on the record.
“We still hope to sign one or two strikers,” the top spokesman for West Ham’s owners told Hammers News.
Fans will of course believe it when they see it, but West Ham have put it out there now and the club are well aware they cannot afford to upset the fanbase any further.
The Irons have consistently been linked with Nice striker Evann Guessand since Potter’s arrival in January.
Strasbourg’s Emanuel Emegha has also been a name on West Ham’s list, although a deal for him to join Chelsea next season is reportedly already privately agreed given BlueCo’s ownership of both clubs.
