El-Hadji Malick Diouf is expected to leave West Ham following their relegation from the Premier League.

Diouf joined the Hammers for £19 million last summer and made 34 appearances across all competitions this season.

The left-back might have played his worst game against Leeds on the final day, but that should not impact his reputation.

He has consistently provided remarkable energy down the left wing, even though his decision-making can be erratic.

Diouf is now being linked with several top English clubs, as well as the league champions in another country.

Malick Diouf tipped for Porto move after West Ham relegation

Senegalese outlet Senego has reported that Primeira Liga winners Porto are “interested” in signing Malick Diouf.

According to Sport Witness, Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha has also suggested that Porto are keeping tabs on Diouf.

Porto just became domestic champions for the 31st time after finishing six points above Sporting and eight points above Benfica.

They have made a habit of signing athletic young players recently, so the 21-year-old would certainly fit the bill.

Porto would be an excellent move for Diouf, although he will likely receive a more lucrative offer from England.

Diouf is thought to be on Chelsea’s radar, where he could play as a wing-back under new manager Xabi Alonso.

Manchester United have also shortlisted Diouf as a potential long-term replacement for Luke Shaw.

West Ham will be hoping for a bidding war between several top European clubs, so they can increase their asking price.

Having signed the defender for £19m last summer, the Hammers could be looking to make a significant profit by doubling that fee.

The East London club reportedly needs to raise at least £150m from player sales following their relegation.

The sales of Diouf, Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville should take them close to that target.
