Sport1 reported last month that that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 26-year-old Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder to the London Stadium in the summer.
Money tight, free transfers makes sense
With funds tight at West Ham and Moyes in such desperate need of bolstering his central midfield department, it is easy to see why the Scot would have been keen to sign Dor Peretz on a free transfer.
The Israel international is a defensive midfielder by trade and he possesses impressive technical ability.

He is also a tenacious tackler and a very hard worker.
West Ham to lose out on Dor Peretz to Hamburg?
That could happen according to Rotenburger Rundschau.
Whilst it wouldn’t be a huge blow to miss out on the 26-year-old, it would be an opportunity missed to have added a very decent player to our ranks for absolutely nothing.

Dor Peretz recorded some impressive numbers for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season, with 10 goals and nine assists to his name in 50 games (Transfermarkt).
Picking Peretz up on a free would be a very smart move from the Irons. Especially with funds expected to be tight at the London Stadium this summer
