West Ham United have one of the most promising teenagers in English football on their books in Amadou Diallo.

But for how much longer?

The West Ham Under 18s starlet has been earning rave reviews since joining the youth setup.

Great Hammers hope could join growing trend

At just 16, Diallo has already been tipped for the top with club and country.

He was also hailed by departing U18s coach Jack Collison as a star in the making (whufc.com).

Unfortunately for West Ham fans, though, that could be elsewhere.

Speculation has been rife for some time that Diallo could be tempted elsewhere.

Rising Ballers has reported that the West Ham youngster is in talks with Bordeaux, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

‘A player of immense promise’

Diallo has been ranked by FourFourTwo as one of the 50 most exciting English teenagers.

FourFourTwo have recently teamed up with Youth Hawk to run a feature on the top 50 teenagers playing in England at the moment.

And Diallo has made the list, albeit in 50th place.

Fears are growing among supporters that Diallo could become the latest young English star to move abroad following in the footsteps of the likes of Jadon Sancho.

West Ham’s own official site gives Diallo a big billing.

“Schoolboy striker Amadou Diallo is a West Ham United player of immense promise,” whufc.com states.

Top priority for returning Keen

“So highly rated is England U16 international Diallo within the Academy of Football that he was just 14 years and six months old when he debuted in the U18 Premier League.

“The forward featured seven times for the U18s while still an U15 by age-group, starting three times.

“As an U16 schoolboy, he netted his first goals at U18 level in a 3-2 Premier League Cup victory over Manchester City in November 2018.”

Resolving the situation and persuading Diallo to stay will undoubtedly be the top priority for new U18s boss Kevin Keen following his return to West Ham.
