According to a report from Italian publication Area Napoli, West Ham have a €30 million (£26 million) bid lined up for Napoli ace Hirving Lozano. But there could be a problem with the winger allegedly dreaming of a move to Manchester United.

On the face of it, the Mexican would be a very good signing for the Hammers. That is in spite of the fact that he hasn’t enjoyed a successful campaign with Napoli this season.
But West Ham aren’t the only team in the race to sign the 24-year-old.
Manchester United are also in for Lozano, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Hammers fighting a losing battle?
And if the Napoli ace has to choose between West Ham and United, there will surely only be one outcome.
The president of his first club Pachuca – Jesus Martinez told ESPN last year how it has always been the Mexico international’s dream to join Manchester United:
“What I can say and guarantee is that Hirving has had a Manchester United scout watching him since he was 16. They have his whole record. They have everything: videos, goals, behaviour, qualifications. They are one of the clubs with the best scouts and professionals in that area. My ultimate dream would be to see ‘Chucky’ at United and Hector at Atletico. It would be my dream and theirs.”
Stats
Lozano joined Napoli from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2019 for around €42 million (£36 million), according to Goal.
The 24-year-old has struggled with Napoli, however. He has racked up just three goals and two assists in 25 outings so far this season (Transfermarkt).
In 16 league games for the Serie A outfit, the Mexico international has just two goals and one assist to his name. He has averaged just 1.3 shots, 0.8 dribbles and 0.8 key passes per game during those outings (Who Scored).
Lozano proved during his time with PSV that he has what it takes to succeed at the highest level, however.
The reported West Ham and Manchester United target racked up 40 goals and 23 assists in 79 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit (Transfermarkt).
David Moyes will have his work cut-out, however, if he is to bring the Napoli ace to West Ham. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will undoubtedly be keen to bolster his wide attacking department this summer.
And if Lozano does indeed dream of playing for Manchester United, the Hammers might just be fighting a losing battle.
