The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Man United in January.

And Lingard has already made an absolutely massive impact at the London Stadium.

The 26-capped England international has racked up six goals and three assists in just eight games for West Ham so far.

He has completely transformed that way in which we move up the pitch as an attacking unit.

The West Ham fans are desperate for Lingard to be signed permanently in the summer. David Moyes and the Hammers players will be as well.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Manchester United could demand as much as £30 million for Jesse due to his incredible recent form.

That is a lot of money for someone who will have just one year left on his contract at Old Trafford in the summer. He will be 29 in December as well.

Having said that, it could be argued that Lingard is easily worth £30 million to West Ham.

The 28-year-old has had such a transformational impact at the London Stadium, that that kind of fee actually might just be worth paying.

He still probably has three years left playing at his peak, considering he has played much football over the past two years.

West Ham just need to get this one done, whatever it takes. And if Man United want £30 million, we should just pay it.
