West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan must clarify speculation reported by The Independent on Tuesday.
Recent reports have claimed West Ham owners Sullivan and David Gold have lost faith in director of football Mario Husillos (The Guardian).
Now kournalist Tom Kershaw has reported in The Independent that Husillos has already been sidelined ahead of planned January transfer business, in favour of Sullivan’s son, Jack.

Report claimed Jack Sullivan is leading transfer negotiations instead of Husillos
“Joint-chairman David Sullivan’s son, Jack, has been acting as technical director and leading transfer negotiations for the club with West Ham’s current director of football, Mario Husillos, expected to depart with Pellegrini,” Kershaw reported in The Independent but the paragraph was later removed
Fellow West Ham website Claret & Hugh has since poured cold water on the claim.
C&H regularly claims to have a top level source inside West Ham, widely believed to be David Sullivan himself.

West Ham fans angry at speculation
That will come as a relief to angry West Ham fans, who has been sharing the information on social media.
The rumour has been a source of great embarrassment for the Hammers faithful.
And it warrants a response from the owners to clear such conjecture up.
Sullivan should issue an official statement via the club’s website to address the report if it is indeed false.

Co-owners must clarify embarrassing situation
West Ham fans should not be hearing it via third parties such as Claret & Hugh.
If the claim is true then it only serves to undermine Pellegrini further still.
Husillos is a close confidant of Pellegrini and the pair worked together previously at Malaga too.
West Ham fans are sick of seeing club business conducted in an amateurish and classless manner.
A simple statement from the owners clearing things up would nip the so-called ‘ludicrous claim’ in the bud and West Ham can move on.
