A West Ham board confidant has spoken out on a second Arsenal bid for Declan Rice and used two words to describe how the first was presented.
The summer transfer window has been open for business for two days and already there has been talk of two Arsenal bids to sign Declan Rice from West Ham.
After months of speculation, the Gunners submitted a formal bid for the Hammers captain on Thursday.

Arsenal get it all wrong with opening gambit
But it was miles short of the valuation and rejected out of hand by West Ham as reports emerge that Manchester City are now lurking with serious intent.
West Ham supporters were incredulous when they heard what Arsenal did in their opening offer for Rice.
And many Arsenal fans were not too pleased either. Because it has left the door wide open for Man City and others to try their hand.
Speculation abound last night that Edu had hastily sent a second improved bid over to the West Ham board, more in line with the clubs £100m plus valuation.

West Ham board confidant speaks out on second Arsenal bid for Declan Rice and uses two words to describe how first was presented
Now a West Ham board confidant has spoken out on a second Arsenal bid for Rice and used two words to describe how the first was presented.
Sean Whetstone has close contacts with the West Ham board and vice-chair Karren Brady.
And he took to social media overnight to deny a second, improved bid has been submitted to West Ham by the Gunners.
Whetstone was also told by his sources that the opening bid was ‘poorly constructed’ and ‘immediately rejected’.

‘Poorly constructed, immediately rejected and ridiculous’
He also described the payment terms offered by Arsenal as ‘ridiculous’.
“Reports of a second offer from Arsenal for Declan Rice are not true,” Whetstone said.
“As of this evening West Ham have yet to receive a second offer I was told an hour ago.
“The first offer was poorly constructed and immediately rejected…
“it is rare to accept a first offer for a deal of this size but payment terms are ridiculous.”
Arsenal were ridiculed yesterday when it was reported their opening offer – said to be just £80m, some £20m short of West Ham’s valuation – included add-ons which would only be paid if the Gunners WIN the Premier League and the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.
